Terms and Conditions for Croatian Language Tutoring

1. Agreement By booking lessons with Learning Croatian, students agree to these terms.

2. Scheduling and Cancellations

  • Scheduling: Lessons must be scheduled through our designated booking platform or via email. Bookings are confirmed upon receiving a scheduling confirmation.

  • Cancellations/Rescheduling: To reschedule or cancel a lesson, students must provide at least 24 hours' notice. If less notice is given, the lesson will be considered completed and not refunded or rescheduled, except in cases of serious illness or emergency (proof required).

  • Make-Up Lessons: Rescheduled lessons must occur within one month from the original lesson date, subject to availability.

3. Payments

  • Individual Lessons: Payment is due at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson.

  • Package Deal: Purchase 10 lessons in advance and receive 1 lesson free (11 total). Full payment is required before the first lesson.

  • Payment Methods: Accepted via PayPal, Revolut, Wise, or direct bank transfer.

4. Transaction Fees

  • Payments via PayPal will include an additional transaction fee to cover processing costs. This ensures the full lesson fee is received. The total amount due may be slightly higher than the listed lesson price when using PayPal. 

    For alternative payment methods that avoid fees, consider using direct bank transfer, Revolut, or Wise.

5. Late Payments

  • If a payment is pending, declined, or otherwise fails to process by the 24-hour deadline, the student will be notified. If the issue isn’t resolved within 7 days, lessons may be suspended until payment is received.

6. Refund Policy

  • Refunds are not provided for missed or completed lessons unless due to tutor cancellation or errors. Properly notified cancellations may be rescheduled.

7. Tutor Availability

  • The tutor reserves the right to reschedule lessons due to personal circumstances, illness, or emergencies. Affected students will be promptly informed and offered a makeup session or a refund.

8. Code of Conduct

  • Both parties agree to maintain a respectful, professional environment. Inappropriate behavior may lead to termination of services without refund.

9. Privacy and Confidentiality

  • Recording lessons without prior consent is prohibited.

  • Personal data shared will be kept confidential and used only to facilitate tutoring.

10. Amendments to Terms

  • The tutor may update these terms. Students will be notified of any changes before they take effect.
